A classic, the Goodreads Reading Challenge pushes me to reach my goal of 50 books by the end of 2017! To view what books I’ve read, click the hyperlink above.

EDIT 13 SEPT 2017: I’ve altered my goal to 75 to help push me further, as I reached my goal of 50 a few weeks ago.

2017 Monthly Motif Reading Challenge

Hosted by Kim and Tanya from girlxoxo.com, the 2017 Monthly Motif Reading Challenge has a different theme for each month which is a book you have to read! The bullets below are the different monthly themes that I’m participating in!

AUGUST – Seasons, Elements, & Weather
Read a book in which the season, the elements, or the weather plays a role in the story.

  • As You Wish by Chelsea Sedoti (this might be kind of a stretch but the dry climate of the Mojave Desert is mentioned quite a lot and the landscape of the story is pretty important)

SEPTEMBER – Creepy, Chilling, & Frightful
Cozy mystery ghost stories, paranormal hauntings, murder mysteries, weird and scary creatures- it’s up to you!

  • The Hearts We Sold by Emily Lloyd-Jones

OCTOBER– Games, Challenges, & Contests
Read a book that involves a game of some sort. Video games, war games, psychological mess-with-your-mind games, characters who participate in a contest, or a story in which the character takes on a challenge.

  • Nyxia by Scott Reintgen

NOVEMBER – Last Chance
Read a book you’ve been meaning to get to all year but haven’t yet or read the last book in a series you started.

  • Wires and Nerve Vol. 1 by Marissa Meyer

DECEMBER – Picking Favorites
Read a book by one of your favorite authors or read a book that Girlxoxo has recommended this year.

  • We Were Liars or Renegades
